About Norfolk
Norfolk is a beautifully unspoilt county that has many attractions whether you’re after a fun-packed family holiday,
or a quiet retreat to escape the rigours of everyday life. From bustling seaside towns, hidden harbours down quiet country lanes,
picturesque market squares, historic houses, castles and abbeys, gently rolling countryside,
or golden sand dunes, you’ll find all those things and more, here in Norfolk.
Within 20 minutes of Norfolk Dialysis is the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton.
This family resort was given the Blue Flag Award for its beach cleanliness and safety this year.
It has a sea life centre, and you can hunt for fossils under the chalk cliffs. There are lots of different accommodation options:
from caravan parks to hotels, bed and breakfasts to self catering. You can find more information here
You can take a trip out to see the seals at Blakeney Point, or visit the bird reserves at Snettisham,
Titchwell or Cley. Depending on the time of year you may see the forty thousand pinkfooted geese that roost at Snettisham;
watching them return in the evening in front of the sun setting over the Wash is a truly spectacular site even if you’re not a birdwatcher.
As well as Sandringham, if you like country houses there’s Houghton, Holkham,
Oxborough, Blickling, all within an hour of the clinic. Ten minutes from us is Castle Rising,
where as well as the pretty village and alms houses, there’s the spectacular Norman keep of the castle.
You can wander the battlements in the footsteps of Queen Isabella who, they say, also still wanders the battlements,
in the form of a ghostly white wolf!
So whether you want to spend your time kicking your heels on the beach;
sample Norfolk’s wonderful local produce; explore the quiet lanes and paths and find an old smugglers’ inn at the end,
then the beautiful Norfolk coast and countryside could provide you and the whole family with the perfect holiday. And, of course,
leave us at Norfolk Dialysis to arrange all your dialysis details, so all you’ve got to worry about is enjoying yourselves!
